Fashion and Sewing for Beginners
Class Details
Join us in our new fashion design class. Have you always wanted to create your own fashion wear? Here’s your opportunity! We’ll start with how to use the sewing machine including utility stitches, general maintenance, and how to use basic supplies. The class will focus on 3 main projects: a tote bag and a zippered pouch. The third project can include a knit T-shirt or pull on pj pants/short. Each project will grow skills and the student’s ability to read sewing patterns. By the end of the class, you will be able to purchase and read a pattern, understand fabric types, sew within a suggested seam allowance, and gain sewing confidence. Some projects will require purchased patterns and fabrics. Embark on your fashion design career in this fun and relaxed environment.
Sewing machines and most materials will be provided.
